I would love to have a 3000GT VR4 one day
My cousin had a 92 SL with 173k miles on it, the cams were locked up and the back window was broken out. For 600 I almost wanted to buy it, but it just wasn't in the cards. It did make me learn a lot about these cars and what cool stuff the VR4's had. This was mitsubishi at its best. When you look back at what they used to make, its obvious they are a sorry ass excuse for a car company now.
I wanted these HVAC controls in my life, they are so much cooler than the ford EATC setup
I charged up the battery one night, and one of my friends got the pop up headlights working again, and we'd just play around with all the gadgets inside, make the headlights go up and down, play with the HVAC... I almost put the radio back in but I didn't have time. I also almost ripped the HVAC out until my cousin told me someone was buying it.

Least flattering angle possible? I had never seen it before, but the Stealth has a bit of Pontiac Grand Prix in it, doesn't she?

Ahhh, Four pipes? R/T Turbo.
John Hennessey's first claim to fame before he starting building 1200hp Vipers was a non-distinct 3000GT VR4 that he built in Texas, drove to the Nevada closed highway race, set a production car class record of close to 165 mph IIRC, and drove home. He claimed the factory boost guage was about 8-10 psi heavy.
I drove those cars when brand new. Checked them in off the car carrier. Knocked many virgin miles off brand new Stealths. Be nice to the clutch. Lots of stick. Lots of weight.
Very very nice color combination.

It reminds me of the 1999 Mitsu 3000GT my father had. For some reason is up there on my top 10 favorite car list even if it had the monumental table top spoiler. I'll post pictures of it soon.

I wanna love these cars, but my hatred for both timing belts and T-mounted V engines means it's just not meant to be.
Not gonna knock anyone for getting one, though. Outside of the WRX, it's a bargain if Manual, 4WD and turbocharged are prerequisites for you.

Yeah, yeah. But the Stealth was my first favorite car ever. It's a 20 year love affair. I will have my way with her someday. I must.

This was one of the best shots I could find of a 1996 Stealth R/T TT in stock form. '96 is hard to find, especially for sale.

That is awesome.
I've never had the pleasure of driving one... very much jealous over here.

There's still a lot I don't know about these cars, but I fell in love with them as a young teenager. It was my first favorite car.

Those interior controls are sex.
I recently found out the '91 3000GT was the first production car to have an auxiliary audio input for portable devices.

This is still in my top 10 after about 20 years of obsession. That boomerang spoiler gets me every time.

Yeah I was reading through that list recently when someone posted it to Oppo. A lot of interesting stuff.
